2012: Aceo Trade - Luthera, Digital by kickingrabbit 2012: Aceo Trade - Luthera, Digital by kickingrabbit
An ACEO trade with =WrenTree. I chose to draw her character, Lutherah. :)

I had quite a bit of fun drawing this creature, though bird wings still confuse me greatly, so marking placement aren't perfect. Original sketch was done digitally, then later transferred to an ACEO card. I got so carried away with the digital drawing, though, that I decided to do a quick coloring of the digital lines, as well. This is the result.

Original ACEO:

Art belongs to me. DO NOT USE (except for =WrenTree).

Thank you Altairess. I must say, it was good practice for me. I don't draw bird wings very often; getting the feathers arranged correctly can be confusing for me sometimes, especially. XD

Thank you very much, Kia. I was really happy with the wings, myself. I don't draw them often, so this was good practice. ^_^

Thanks, Snow. :3 I like how the colors turned-out, too. Especially the subtle hints of purple and pink. I wish I had accomplished that in the ACEO, but I am still learning how to master my paints. ^_^ I still like the ACEO version, though.

Thank you, Snow. :3 I think nuances can really make or break an image, but they can be time-consuming!

Check-out wacom.com to see all of their products. Intuos tablets are high-end and generally more expensive (though refurbished ones can be gotten at a discount, I think). Bamboo tablets aren't as expensive, but I don't have any experience with them. They are also made by Wacom, though, so they can't be too bad. ^_^

thank you! My mom bought me a Bamboo Wacom Tablet last year but it stopped working after 1 day of use. Something with the wires got messed up and the store said it was a defected model so they gave us another one, which also does not work -_-

I think I'll be better off getting what you got xD

Oh dear! Yeah, I've never had issues with any Intuos I've owned. I got an Intuos2 around 2003 that was refurbished and it still works perfectly. The only reason I upgraded was because the model I had was so old, Wacom was no longer releasing drivers for it, and I wanted to be sure to have a tablet that worked on newer computers. XD

yeah the economy works like that so much now. where you can have something so old that works fine but you cant use it cause everything is upgraded. But most of the new things arent as durable as the old >.>
Well thanks again! I want to save up as much money as I can to buy another working tablet :D

No kidding. Just imagine how it will be in another ten years. Technology seems to be advancing at an exponential rate. :o

Anywho, good luck saving up! The investment will be well worth it, so long as you draw a lot. :D
