2012: Light-Keepers

Many cultures consider ravens to be keepers of wisdom, which is often associated with light. The original concept for this illustration did not include bottles of light, but on a whim I added them. Only after I finished the illustration did I realize why. Sometimes we just need to follow our artistic impulses.

"Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them..." Luke 12:24
